You will gain a deeper understanding of how to structure your yoga practice with the right choice of asana sequences and how to use them as corrective and rejuvenative tools.
Asana class-2 sets of 1.5 hour classes. One in the morning [ASHTANGA] and one in the afternoon [HATHA].
Asana: Ashtanga primary series and hatha yoga postures.
Pranayama: Introduction and practice of 4 types of breathing tecniques, i.e Ujjai, nadi shodana, kapalbhati and brahmari.
Yoga philosophy: A brief Study of the 8 limbs of yoga and their application to modern life. Introduction of spiritual and devotional literature. The bhagavadgita and the yoga sutras of patanjali.
Mantras: Sanskrit sacred chants. You will learn to chant the Gayatri mantra,the most powerful mantra from the rig veda.
Meditation: You will learn and practice 3 types of meditation i.e. Tratak, silent meditation, Tibetan singing bowl sound meditation.
Mudra: Spiritual handgestures. An initiation into 3 healing and 3 spiritual meditation mudras.
